| Jet Commander, 30" long. Poplar, Walnut, Hickory, Yellow Osage, American Holly. |
| This is my most recent project. I am in the process of building a scale model of a jet my dad used to fly. I will be including more info as the project goes along. I have already gotten almost a year on the project, but have been derailed several times due to graduate studies. Here are the drawings which I have done along with some electrical circuitry work. |

Compilling the data to draw these Plan Views of the Jet Commander took a long time. There were only a little more than 300 of these planes built back in the late 1960's, and there really wasn't anything special about the airplanes. They were sleek looking and sat low to the ground unlike the Falcon and Lear Jet. But aparently their engines were very fuel inefficient causing the jet to have a very brief corporate life during the troubling gas hysteria of the 1970's. |
| The jet will be shown taking off from runway 5, so the gear will still be deployed. More photos soon... |

| Recreation of the MD Logo. |
| I can remember being at the airport when an old sign painter came out to 'touch-up' the MD logo on the airplane. I was facinated to watch him hand paint the images on the airplane. I'm sure he's long gone... but wished I had gotten the name of the gent who did the work. I've recreated the image (above) in vector format which I'll use to paint on the finished fuselage. |

| This is a Plan View of Runway 5, which is where N27MD flew out of at Tri-Cities airport back in the 1970's. I will be building a base for the aircraft to reflect this runway... and have plans to light it as well. |

| This
is built from a kit, although the mount is scratch built from Pecan. I welded
through-bolts onto the horseshoes and then coated the inside rim with black
silicon to keep from scratching the rifle. The particulars can be read from
the placard above which is a paper repro of the brass one on the display. |
| Allenby Green Signage-1984, Germantown, Tennessee. |
| This is a sign that I designed back in 1984... and it still exists! The builder/owner took a chance on a college kid. I did not build it; just drew it up on paper. Can't locate the original construction drawings though. Originally, the name area was done with 303 Exterior Siding with the Logo Painted on, however sometime over the past couple decades, it has been replaced with a painted cast concrete emblem. |
| Big Bell Sign Design, Fayette County, Tennessee. |
| This sign not yet built, but I put it on this page just because the Allenby one was here. |
